Apply Modifiers to Products

In the previous article (see: Create Modifiers ), we learnt how to create Modifiers, now let's learn how to apply them to your product !

In this article:

APPLY MODIFIERS TO A SINGLE PRODUCT:

  1. In your Back Office => go to Products => Products => select the Category using the dropdown:

    for example: Coffee

  2. Edit the Product wanted by clicking the Pen Icon:

  3. go to Options => Type the name of your Modifier Option Group:

  4. Add your Option Group by clicking the ➕

    Modifiers can be added as:

    • Option Groups: For better organisation & for groups you need to re-assign to several products.

    • Single Modifier: for modifier you only need to use once or rarely.

They will display as ' Miscellaneous ' if they are not grouped.

⚠️ Miscellaneous Modifiers can't be: Required or Grouped !

they will display Ungrouped under your product in your POS.

  5. Once all your Modifiers are applied, you can choose to have them:

    • Grouped: 'Sugar Options'

      • Modifiers will be contained in a 'page'

      • Best option modifiers you use often but not every time

    • Required: 'Milks Options'

      • the Product can't be added without selecting the required modifier.

      • Best option for Modifiers that are mandatory.

    • On Display: 'Black Coffee options'

      • Don't tick any options.

      • Best option for modifiers you need to access fast & often.

  6. In your POS they look like that:

    • REQUIRED:

As soon as 1 Modifier is ' required ' => all the groups assigned to that Products will be included in the Modifier Modal:

    • GROUPED:

    • ON DISPLAY:

    • When your modifiers are selected they will have a green indicator:

    • CART:

APPLY MODIFIERS AS ' BULK ' TO SEVERAL PRODUCTS :

If several products require the same Modifiers, you can apply them all at once as 'Bulk'.

⚠️ Doing that will remove previous Modifiers applied to those products.

  1. In your Back Office => go to Products => Products => select the Category using the dropdown:

    for example: Coffee

  2. Select the Products wanted by clicking the Checkboxes:

  3. Go to OPTIONS => Assign Options:

  4. Assign your Options as seen previously: Add Option Groups => Update:

  5. All Done ! 👍
