DEVICES
Now that you have created your Device Profiles ( see Article: DEVICE PROFILES )
It's time to assign them to your DEVICES !
DEVICES: the name given to your POS / Tablet. It is Unique to every POS / Tablet. This is where you set your Printing Preferences.
DEVICE PROFILES: the Workflow & Display Options that you want to give to each Device. They can be unique to each Device or reused across several Devices.
For example, If you have:
1 x POS: Easy, you can just create 1 Device Profile & assign it to your Device.
Several POS: You can reuse your Device Profiles or assign different ones according to your needs.
In this Article:
FIND ' DEVICES ' IN YOU BACK OFFICE:
In your Back Office => Settings => Venues & Stores (if you have multiple venues) OR My Store
CREATE A NEW DEVICE:
In Devices => CREATE
Type a DEVICE NAME ( make sure it is relevant to your POS / Tablet to reuse it easily )
Choose a DEVICE TYPE ( in our case: POS App )
Choose a DEVICE PROFILE: will be set with the one ticked as 'Default' in your Device Profile
You will then be taken to the DETAILS page:
From here you can:
Edit the Name of your Device
Assign / Change your Device Profile ( see article below )
Assign a Payment Terminal
Enable ' Order Token Numbers ' : Every order prints a sequential number to call out customer's number easily. Learn more about Token Numbers, in this article:
Link your Payment Terminal to your new Device

EDIT AN EXISTING DEVICE : APPLY A NEW DEVICE PROFILE
ASSIGN DEVICE TO POS / TABLET :
⚠️ Do this step directly from the POS / TABLET itself, not from a computer.
If your DEVICE is already selected / paired, it will appear with a blue background:
If not, all devices will have a white background:
Going to POS: this pop-up window might appear if your device wasn't linked :
⚠️ Because every DEVICE is UNIQUELY PAIRED to a certain POS or TABLET, you need to be careful when selecting: if you select the wrong one, your POS might print to the wrong printer or be linked to another terminal.
⚠️ NEVER USE ' Oolio Support ' as it will not be linked to any of your Printers / Terminals & is only used by our team for testing / troubleshooting purpose.
How to know which DEVICE is paired from the POS => Click on the ' . . . ' on the right end side of the screen:
On the bottom you can see the name of the DEVICE:
